Alignment: Chaotic EvilAll smiles and charm, Valerius is a handsome young man that has caught the eye of many. He is short for a pureblooded Garlean, standing only at 6’1”. Due to his height and his fondness for dyeing his hair, he has been confused for a Hyur on occasion. Rarely does he ever allow his natural hair color to return, which is a flax colored blond, instead tending towards lavender or darker hues (Black seems to be a favorite color as of recently). His build is lean and on the softer side as a result of spending his days working in a laboratory. A recent accident claimed his left arm from him, amputated from just above the elbow.He is rarely seen out of his lab jacket, as often as he is at work. Even when he is allowed afield, he prefers long jackets with plenty of pockets for a number of supplies. He always wears a pair of slim, rimless spectacles, claiming his vision is poor without them. Since losing his arm, he makes certain to wear long sleeves to cover his injury.
Personality
Upon first meeting Valerius, he comes off as a kind, warm-hearted if a little eccentric young man. The longer one stays around him, however, the more something just doesn't seem right. The kind smile that he wears seems to always be there, even when the conversation turns somber. His work brings out even more glee despite the fact that it is some of the most heinous in the Empire. There is a paranoia about him, too, never trusting and never compromising. He is ultimately a difficult young man to understand, if there is any reason to his madness at all.Likes: Science! Imperial Scientists and Engineers- Valerius is often sent in the stead of his superior to science conferences and other academic events that the man cannot be bothered with. Valerius’s passion for learning and genuine joy at being able to meet new people is infectious, and he finds someone to become friendly with at each event.Imperial Doctors or Psychiatrists- Prior to being taken in by Marius nan Ferrum, Valerius was a ward of the Empire. Orphaned and unstable, he remained under close watch in a psychiatric facility in the Imperial Capital until only two years ago.Ul’dahni Healers and Physicians, or Alley Rats- For a brief period of time, Valerius had been staying in Ul’dah, and volunteering as a physician to the poor and homeless in the city. Though most were suspicious of the Garlean, he seemed to be genuinely interested in helping to mend wounds and make medicines to help treat illnesses without asking for payment in any form. Many of his patients even seemed to like him.

About the player:
I am a US based East Coast RPer who has been RPing for longer than I want to say (because that makes me feel old). I love to world build, and be sucked into the worlds that other players create as well. At the moment, my main method of RP is on discord. I work unpredictable hours, and run both an FC and RP tavern, AND got talked into raiding, so discord is definitely the easiest way to get some stories going with me.What I am looking for:
18+ Roleplayers - I'm older, relaxed, easy-going, and I like my RP friends to be the same. In addition, I shy away from players who aren't good at separating IC from OOC or RP with characters who seem to be self-inserts.
Grammatical Awareness - I am a terrible grammar nazi. I'm sorry. I'm not going to nitpick over a misspelled word here or there, but if there are consistent, glaring errors, it breaks a lot of immersion for me. I put a lot of effort into my writing, and it is nice when others do the same.
Dark/Story-based/Conflict RP: Slice of life is nice occasionally, but I really enjoy darker themes. Drama, conflict, sexy drama or conflict, I love. Bring it on.Adult Themes?
Sure, though Valerius is not always likely never an easy character to be involved with. Expect some blood.I won't play:Suicide plots. They're not for me. That is about my only hard-no, however. I don't shy away from character death if it is a logical outcome and not a product of godmodding.
